The Detroit Diesel Series 60 was manufactured from 1987 to 2011. This inline-six 4 stroke beast came in 3 flavors. The 11.1L, the 12.7 L [this specific engine] and it’s big brother the 14.0L. All engines were used in Tractor-trailer applications. The Series 60 was predated by the Series 71 and Succeeded by the DD15.
